Who Will Be My Valentine? A Liquid Lip Love Story (Part 6)

Welcome back to my blog, or if you’ve just come across The Disoriental:

Hello! Welcome! Come in! Have a cuppa!

SO… Last week we’ve our first finalist: Jeffree Star Cosmetics’ REDRUM.

If you haven’t caught up with the series yet, you can do so here.

This week we’re revisiting the second pairing: Beauty Bakerie and Maybelline.

To recap on the 3-point experiential factor guide we’re using:

  • Smoothness of application (applicator + consistency + pigment)

    • Which lip liquid has the overall upper-hand for smoothness of application?

  • Degree of smudge

    • Which lip liquid prevails in minimal smudging?

  • Removal process

    • Which lip liquid is most agreeable with removal?

Without further ado, lets have a look back on these two liquid lipsticks. Some factors had been described in length in the previous posts, which you can click to read more about!

Who Will Be My Valentine? A Liquid Lip Love Story (Part 5)

Welcome back to my blog, or if you’ve just come across The Disoriental:

Hello! Welcome! Come in! Have a cuppa!

So here we have it! Finding our final four… So far we have had:

Jeffree Star Cosmetics and Stila (Part 1)

MAC Cosmetics and Lime Crime (Part 2)

Beauty Bakerie and Sugarpill Cosmetics (Part 3)

Maxfactor and Maybelline (Part 4)

If you haven’t read the first four posts yet, you can read the series here.

I do apologise about the delay in the post - I came up with something initially but then found it to be not a fair playing ground as it was based on aesthetics- which evidently is not the best basis to judge on as some are very different shades and there are different makeup looks created- therefore, I had to come up with something more fitting…

Now… Which one emerged as the forerunner from the fourth week??

Drumroll…

A Digital Painting Experience with #EttaShonArts & #ChanelLondonStudio!

Welcome back to my blog, or if you’ve just come across The Disoriental:

Hello! Welcome! Come in! Have a cuppa!

I am ECSTATIC to share my beauty and artsy, festive experience at Chanel London Studio.

The digital painting workshop started with a 30 minute-or-so makeup session with one of Chanel’s makeup artists, followed by a good hour of digital painting/illustrating session led by Etta Shon.

I was so proud of my final work (it is harder than it looks) and very much enjoyed the step-by-step learning processes of both makeup and digital illustrating, very well led by the respective artists involved.

Scroll down for the video!

Who Will Be My Valentine? A Liquid Lip Love Story (Part 3)

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!

Before we move on, I’d like to state clearly that this series and my posts are based on my experiences and opinion which may or may not change over time; and the experience definitely varies person to person. Nothing is ever set in stone and this is supposed to be an invitation to discuss, enjoy, explore, and share.

Please read for enjoyment and entertainment, and I will always advocate for experiencing each product for yourself to establish your own firm and unique opinion. I respect all the brands that are mentioned on my website and only seek to build a platform where authentic experiences can be expressed. Any sponsored and/or affiliated posts are and will be explicitly mentioned.

Thank you for your support and time!
